Ross Shain

I’ve been fortunate to have worked in visual effects and motion graphics for over 20 years in a wide variety of roles. As the former Chief Product Officer of Boris FX, I contributed to the interface design and marketing strategy of Academy and Emmy award-winning tools Mocha Pro and Silhouette.  

Currently I am an advisor at Boris FX and I’m also working as an independent creative consultant — providing strategy, design, and marketing for products in the post-production industry.

Outside of the software industry, I’ve always been active in animation, graphics and music. I’m currently focusing attention on generative AI tools for creatives by participating in multiple beta programs. The ML/AI revolution excites me and I’m really looking forward to playing a role in the evolution of the technology for creative artists.
